  • H1B Stamping in Ottawa – non-IT Background

I am planning to have my H1B visa interview in Ottawa later this month. I am from an engineering but non-IT background working in Oil & Gas industry. I have been hearing about EVC mode, client letter, etc. – not sure what that is all about? I am planning to carry my employment letter. Any suggestions on how to address the issue of end client or client letter or EVC when you do not belong to an IT background?

Are you working at the physical location of your employer and for your employer ? Or are you 'outsourced' to another firm ? If you are working full time with your current employer and are not employed at any other client location, only a letter of employment from your current firm is required. If you are working at a client end, whom your organization supplies man power to, you will need a client letter saying they are utilizing your services. HTH
This is my opinion. Not a legal advice
